Fatal Motorcycle Accident in Garland, Texas

Sunday, April 26th, 2009

A local area biker, Chuck King, was killed in April 2009 when a car hit him on LBJ Freeway in Garland, Texas. He fell off of his motorcycle and was run over by an 18-wheeler.

King was among two dozen bikers and friends who call themselves “Keller’s Rat Pack” and congregate at Keller’s Drive-In on Northwest Highway in Dallas. That group and dozens more bikers held a memorial service ride from Keller’s to Garland, TX.

Garland police have charged Tasha Hayes, 18, of Richardson, Texas with failure to stop and render aid, a third-degree felony punishable by two to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
